After 5 Motion (AFM) is a design collective formed by a group of young Malaysians in September 2007. AFM aims to create a local design community (which is something relatively new in the country) that can bring together a pool of artists and designers – from the talented to the well-established – from around the globe. They can be in graphic design, illustration, motion graphics, animation, fashion design, architecture, furniture design, doll-making, comic art or street art. AFM is also a platform to exchange creative ideas and be a form of inspiration to others.

The basis of After 5 Motion: AFM is an open space that welcomes interested parties to participate in creating exciting events and after working hours. “After 5” also indicates “overdrive” which means the team’s commitment while giving “motion” in terms of freedom in creativity.
